Pitch & Speed
Change a track's pitch and tempo independently — fix music that sounds chipmunked after a video speed change.
What is Pitch & Speed?
Pitch & Speed treats a track's pitch (how high or low it sounds) and its tempo (how fast it plays) as two independent controls, instead of one dial that always moves both together.
It's the direct answer to a problem the video Speed tool creates: slow down or speed up a clip and the audio's pitch shifts with it — a slowed-down song suddenly sounds deep and warbly, a sped-up one sounds like a chipmunk. Pitch & Speed lets you correct the pitch back to normal after a speed change, without muting the clip or losing the music entirely.
How it works
- 1
Import your audio
A standalone track, or the audio from a clip you already retimed with the Speed tool.
- 2
Adjust pitch and tempo separately
Move pitch back to normal while keeping the new tempo, or vice versa — the two don't move together.
- 3
Preview
Listen to the result before committing.
- 4
Export
Save the corrected audio track.
Who it's for
Fixing a sped-up or slowed-down clip's music
Restore natural pitch after using the video Speed tool, without muting the original track.
Producers & DJs
Match a sample's key to a project without changing its tempo, or vice versa.
Casual creators
Slow down a clip for a dramatic moment without the music sounding warped.
