Split/Trim
Trim one range out of a clip, or split a whole video into equal-length segments.
What is Split/Trim?
Split/Trim has two separate modes for two different jobs. Trim keeps one [start, end] range and gives you a single output file — for isolating a section or removing dead space at the start/end. Split cuts the whole video into equal-length segments and gives you multiple output files at once, using interval presets (5s, 10s, 15s, 30s, 60s, 120s, 180s, or 300s) — for chopping one long recording into several even parts in one pass, instead of trimming repeatedly by hand.
How it works
- 1
Import the clip
Any video, any length.
- 2
Choose Trim or Split mode
Trim for one range → one file. Split for the whole clip → N equal-length files.
- 3
Set the range or interval
Trim: drag start/end markers or enter exact timestamps. Split: pick an interval preset (only intervals ≤ half the clip's length are shown, so you always get at least 2 usable segments).
- 4
Preview the cut
Check the trimmed section (or first split segment) plays as expected.
- 5
Export
Trim saves one file. Split saves a list of segment files.
Who it's for
Removing dead air
Trim mode: cut the pause before/after the usable part of a clip.
Isolating a highlight
Trim mode: pull just the interesting few seconds out of a longer recording.
Turning one long video into a series
Split mode: chop a 5-minute recording into ten 30-second segments in one pass, ready to post as a multi-part series.
